Tuesday, July 13, 2004 The Digital Revolution Will Be Televised Obsolete, maybe. Disappearing altogether, maybe not. Though the need for physical media will probably be eliminated, the desire will not. People will still buy DVDs, just as they're still buying record albums. The tangible aspect of the album or DVD makes the music or movie feel more real, more valuable than looking at a playlist on your iTunes or your on-screen guide.
