You've Got Red On You

I'm not a real big Red Sox fan, don't really pay attention to them much, but these past couple weeks have been exciting.

All I can say is, "hell, yeah!"

Succession

I've decided I'm going to keep writing "Write That Down" for only five more years, at which time Conan O'Brien will take over.

Short Review

Silver City: Too much Danny Huston, not enough Chris Cooper.

Who Wants A Rave?

I bought some cheap Christmas-er, excuse me, Holiday lights yesterday. A string of all blues and a string of all greens.

The greens I strung up over the basement stairs, and the blues are in the hallway between my bedroom and bathroom. The reasoning is to provide subtle night lights to avoid any further head-hitting on the heating duct during late night trips to the loo. Purely utilitarian.

The effect, however, is completely different.

During the day, or at least when my bedroom or office light is on, the blue lights just hang there on the walls, benign to the rest of the world like a spider waiting for an errant fly.

At night, however, when the pupils are fully dilated, the effect of walking out of my room into the cold blue hue of the hallway is like walking into a science fiction horror movie. I can almost hear the rise of the strings in the background as the drooling monster lies in wait, preparing to attack.

Mr. Basement doesn't need any more help in the "scary" department, but I quite enjoy the blue light special.
