Write That Down Everything's Funny To Someone. |
Saturday, July 28, 2007 Agua Fine Big news this week about PepsiCo's decision to alter the labels of their Aquafina brand bottled water to inform buyers that the water comes from public water sources and not from some great mountain spring. It's tap water, essentially, but is this news? I buy bottled water pretty much every day. I don't buy Aquafina or Coca Cola's Dasani, or even Talking Rain Air Water even though their bottle design makes me want to. I buy the generic brand water since I get the most water for the least amount of money - usually about 1 liter for under a dollar. And it probably comes from the tap too, but I don't care. As long as it's filtered. "Purified" they call it, but filtered essentially. I'd drink the water out of the tap at work, but I'd rather spend the money to get a product that's not copper colored and nasty tasting. This "it's tap water" outrages some people, like they only allow the most pure spring water to wash their xanax down with. I say as long as it doesn't taste like the 90 year old pipes in my buiding, I'll drink it. posted by ben | 10:58 AM | (0) comments |
